I'm confused on how you can just jack it up into place and weld mounts for it. How do you account for suspension droop?

The spring controls both the ride height and suspension travel.

I realize the spring controls all that but how do you account for the spring compression when you set it on the ground; while it's in the air getting welded up?

Take measurements from the donor car before you chop it up.

What kind of measurements? From what to what? This really interests me. I love to do something like this.... or c5 transaxle and torque tube to help weight balance...

From everything to everything. You need to be able to triangulate the position of the chunk as compared to the fenderwells (front to rear as well as up/down) and also get the correct location and angle on each of the mounting points for the "4-link" and chunk arms.
