I want 4th at WOT

ok, searched but now I am even more confused. if I want my 700r4 to go into 4th at WOT do I just need a corrvette servo? or do I need something else? I was thinking about buying the transgo reprogramming kit so does that include the servo? if not, if I just get the shift kit will it allow me to get 4th at WOT? also with the most aggressive settings, will it still auto shift in Drive, but allow me to manual shift from 1st up to Drive? I plan on putting a mega shifter in as well I just want to make sure I get to keep drive if I don't want to shift it myself.

straight from the FAQ section of the site..:
Q: Why won't my automatic tranny shift into overdrive at wide open throttle?

A: It's designed not to shift into overdrive if your foot is all the way to the floor. You must be at 2/3 throttle or less before the tranny shifts into OD. So when you hit the top of 3rd gear, you'll have to let off the gas to allow for the shift. But putting your foot back into it will probably cause a downshift resulting in the same problem.

B and M makes a kit modified kickdown valve (part # 70237) which fixes this problem. It costs about $30 and can be ordered through the Summit or Jegs. GM also makes a modified upshift valve which it included in police packages and that part # is 8673948 and sells for around $15. This will allow the tranny to shift into OD at full throttle.

hope that helps

If you are using one of my kits, I will give you the needed information to do this at no extra cost. You will need two allen screws ($.34) and a dremel. This will allow WOT 3-4 shifts about 90% of the time.

I know this is an old post but I thought I'd clear up a few misconceptions. I rebuilt my tranny not too long ago and I got the transgo and a B&M wot kit. The WOT kit is about $110 but unlike the throttle adapter or whatever it shift into 4th at FULL throttle 100% of the time. I did a search on b&m web site and couldn't find it but I work at O'rielly's and we have it in our catalog.

i'm using the transgo kit with the gm upshift valve (got from the local gm dealer parts dept). i can either shift auto or full manual and it shifts into 4th at wot if i want it to. i like this setup.
