NLA. What's the problem with it? Depending on the damage it might be fixable.

There are MANY companies that offer T5 hard parts. Finding a mainshaft will not be a problem. I will bring home my list of T5 parts suppliers from work tommorrow and post them. Be patient my son.

Oh, you can find them used. Be prepared to spend. The last new one I bought was over $700, and that is my cost, which is a good 20% below list. Now they aren't even available new.
Depending on what's damaged on the shaft Bob Hanlon at Hanlon Motorsports may be able to repair it, and even make it stronger.

Here is my phone list of several manual transmission parts suppliers. The first two I have dealt with personally and am very pleased with. The others I have not had the privilage of calling. They should all have what you need, new and used. Or you could always try calling the dealer, I still buy lots of thirdgen T5 parts from them. You would be suprised what is still available new from GM through your dealer.

Most of these places only sell wholesale to businesses, so just make up a business name. If they ask for a tax ID number, DO NOT make one up, just tell them that the boss has it locked in his office and he is away on business. Then tell them that is okay to charge you tax. Boom, done.

Rockland will sell to individuals. I bought a steel 3/4 fork from them for my T56. They were the only place that I could find that had one available. It was in the middle of Tremecs production of T56s for the '03 Cobra, which were the only production T56s to get the steel fork up to that point. Consequently Tremec wasn't allowings parts suppliers to get them anymore. They were basically on backorder until the production of the Cobra transmissions ceased. Rockland had one in stock, and shipped it right out.
The dealership can get you any available part for a T5. The thing is that it's just going to come in a Tremec box, and have a GM part number on it. Cost wise you're better of contacting Hanlon or one of the guys mentioned above. They will also have the stuff in stock, whereas the dealership will most certainly have to order it.
You won't find a new mainshaft at the dealer either. These are NLA (No Longer Available). The only possible way to get an unused one is to find someone who has an NOS one. Expect to pay $700 or more for one. At that price you could just buy a good used trans instead.
