Jus thought I'd chime in and let you guys know my tranny lost Dirve and OD today. Not too much of a loss, it slipped pretty bad. But lucky for me, i've got a spare, gonna put a trans go shift kit in and fill it up with B and M, maybe it will shift harder than the last one. Well, just thought i'd let someone know my plan, what do you guys think?

That is what they usually do. 3 and 4 go away first. There are better clutch packs for beefing this weak link up when it is rebuilt.
regardless of the kit you use you must open the third clutch oil supply hole to the 2/3 shift valve hole in the plate to .170"and the third clutch oil feed hole in the plate from the shift valve to the input housing to .170' all youll fry them again in short order.this should be considered mandatory.the trans go kit orifices 3/4 clutch oil on a 4/2 or 3/2 kickdown at the spager plate and this is dangerous for the clutch pack and band at high throttle angles.there must be 2 holes and a checkball at the 3rd accumulator transfer in the plate.although there tech is great i feel that it is wrong in a hi output application and came to this conclusion after studying this very complex circuit for many years.the transmission has three other bleed of points for this circuit once supply oil is shut off and all three together are not as efficient as the original 2 hole design used by gm.

Chris, any chance you can post a photo of the plate mods you describe? If not can you give a little more detail(circuit number, etc). I appreciate the info. I just don't wanna screw it up. Thanks, Pete

Resize it down to about 640x480 and save it as a JPEG... You must however select the quality (may be under an options button) as about 60-70... It will still come out quite readable...
