Tranny won't shift at WOT
I have an 85 camaro with a 700r4, and it shifts fine when driving around town, but it won't shift at wot. I had a shift kit and 3000 stall converter installed, and before that, it shifted at wot at around 3000-3500 rpms, and now it wont shift at all. I was thinking it was probably slipping clutches, but do any of y'all know what might be the problem?
loosen the tv cable 3 clicks and road test.post results.it needs lower tvupshift pressure to shift therefore lowering it via the cable with either be the answer or the first step to the diagnaostic procedure

How many RPMs are you letting the engine turn at WOT? You said it previously shifted between 3000 - 3500 RPM at WOT?! That is way way too low. Your not driving a diesel are you? Stock shifts at WOT are typically around 5500 RPM give or take.

Hi all,
I just registered here because I saw you have the same problem like me.
I've been discussing this topic on another forum.
Please read the discussion. Maybe you get some ideas and maybe hints to solve the problem.

I still have the same problem, so if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
Alex

Thanks man, I really appreciate that. There is a lot of information in that other forum. Unfortunately, most of that is over my head as I am still trying to learn about engines then I will move onto transmissions.
