T-5 replacement

I broke my t5 in my 91 rs and I was looking for a t56 but I am really having problems finding one for a reasonable price. So I am now resorting back to putting a t-5 back in. Anyone know what years or what I should look for in a used? can I cant a 4th gen t-5? will the 90 down with out the electronic speedo's work? any assistance will be much apprechated.

if i rember right the 4th gen t5 is the same as a 3rd gen t5. if you a v6 it should work just fine. if not you will have to get a different clutch. some one correct me if im wrong.

the trans itself is the same but the input shaft is different. the spline count is different if i rember correctly. if you went with it you would have to get a custom made clutch.

what did you break? where are you located? im going to be doing a g-force setup for my car, and dont see a point in tearing up my perfectly good trans.
