Engine: none, 350, 2.8
Transmission: none, t-5, 5-speed
master cylinder mount.

i read somewhere on here that the 83 f bodys had a stamp or something on the firewall for where the clutch master cylinder mounts. i have everything off the firewall onmy 83 but i can not see it. is it on the inside or the outside. if it is on the inside i havent gottin the dash out to clean up behind there yet. anyhelp would be greatfull

I know that the 92 Firebirds have a bracket attached to one of the master cylinder mounting bolts. Its a special shape, so it puts the clutch master up in an easy to reach area. Im not sure about an 83 year though. I would imagine they would be the same. Are you sure you dont mean the slave cylinder?

yes i know that. but i read somewhere and can't find it, that there is a mark on the firewall showing the out line of the master cylinder. some one said that they maked the spot but never used it. if i could rembemer where i read it i would have asked. and i know i didn't dream this up eaither.

It's possible. You might find them on an 1984-up automatic car, but I don't know about 82-83 cars. A whole lot of things changed on the firewall between 83 and 84.

well i think it was rb83l69 that said it was there, but i am not sure if he said it or not.

well the thing is i don't remember if it was or not. i don't want to really feel like an idiot and pm the wrong person. but i guess i can try.
