No, not really; but that's because I already had one just about like it with my T-5.

That one, I did notice a significant improvement. It was like taking a giant rubber band out of the drive line somewhere.

The stock torque arm can be reused.

The transmission crossmember cannot be reused.

91Z28-350 so i can reuse the stock torqe arm from a 83? At first I thought I could but I was reading the t56 swap in the FAQs and it said that 82-83's were different. so im really confused.

All 82 tq. arms would be longer because both 4spd transmissions and the TH200-C in the 82 models were shorter trannies than the T5 & 700-R4.

If a tq. arm from an 83 were used from a T5 car, it would be the right length for a 95 T56/bell, but I don't know if the front would be the "W" shape and compatible with the T56 bushing, or if it would be he "M" shape and compatible with the T56 bushing. I don't have to deal with that crap on my car.

A friend just put an Addco tq. arm on his 98 T/A yesterday. Seems like a solid piece. Uses their own bushing which fits the stock bushing sleeve.

You can take that whole mount off the t-5 and swap it with the t-56 one and not have to deal W or M thing if you find it dont match up. I'am using the one off my t-5 to since my tranny never came with one.

The other thing that you can do is get the correct bushing from Energy Suspension, it will fit in the T-56 mount. The T-5 mount and the T-56 mount are indeed the same, but there is no way to make the 700-R4 one work. Trust me, already done it. While you have the opld tranny out, spend the money and replace the rear main seal, I didn't and now I get to take mine back out to do it. Also, make DAMN SURE that the clutch fork pivot bolt is tight, mine backed out a little and I ended up with the fork and the pressure plate meeting at 3000 RPM, not a good place for that meeting.
