I'm Getting Really Pissed Off
The transmission shift cable keeps popping out of that stupid lame *** bracket under the car almost every day. I've tried putting screws behind the ears, paperclips, you name it. I'm getting so frustrated because this should be the least of my problems BUT IT'S NOT BECAUSE IT PREVENTS ME FROM SHIFTING WHEN IT HAPPENS. It takes about 15 minutes to fix AND IT'S GETTING OLD FAST
What do I do?

Here's a picture of the transmission linkage. The new one is already broken in two spots after LESS THAN TWO DAYS. The old one is fine on this half.

Here's the shifter linkage. I had to replace the old one because it broke off from here. I had to literally hold the cable in place when I was shifting it "forward" or it would just move freely and obviously not shift. The new cable is fine on this end, but it fought with me when I was trying to put it in.

If you've been thinking of upgrading to a B&M Megashifter, now would be a great time.. You'll run into none of these problems with a B&M cable and bracket (all metal

looks like an after market one? I went through a few from auto-zone on a friends car. they did not make those ears right and it would pop out and if you even heated them up to bend them out it would break as well. long story short we used zip ties behind the ears untill a gm one was ordered. fit right in never had a problem, took the autozone one back
