Shifting Problem after shift kit!!!
I just installed a transgo Reprogramming kit. It seems like 2nd gear will get stuck when Im in D. Everytime i come to a stop i have to start in 1 or 2 and then when i reach about 3000rpm i have to shift it to D by hand and there it is 3rd gear. And when i take off in number 1 it feels like it slips at first then it catches. When im at WOT in 2nd and shift to D it wont grab till 5500 rpms and then take off like never before it really cool when it does it. Did i do somthing wrong or is my tranny going to tranny heaven? Also do you think my TV cable need to be adjusted? I have not yet checked the fuild since the install but i filled it up. Thanks guys

Call Dana, he sells the TransGo Kits and builds 700-R4s to support up to 625 HP. He's also very friendly and helpful at answering technical questions and troubleshooting.
I'd probably start out by adjusting the kickdown cable again and checking the fluid level.

Sounds like you've got something hanging up in the VB though...usually problems like that are from either the check ***** or a problem with the valves.... I had a defective VB on my old trans, had to get the trans company to ship me a new one and it fixed the problems. Nobody could see what was wrong with it but they believed one or more of the valves were machined poorly or had rough edges or something and were hanging up in their bores...

Yeah thats what i thought in the first place. when i put one of the plungers back into its bore it seem like it was stuck or are they supposed to not move? I really dont want to take the pan off again. I should of put a drain plug on there. The TV cable plunger is not stuck. As for the check *****, i used my old ones that came from the tranny. I found 2 check ***** in the valve body and about 4 in the metal plate. does this sound right and i put the check ball that came with the shift kit in the aux vb. Thank you again
