Need Help my tranny is hurt!

My 700R4 on my Camaro has been acting up. At 40 mph it'll get stuck at 1000 rpms. and bog when i hit the gas. At 50 mph it'll jerk if you let off the gas. Now i've heard everything from tune up needed to the cat is bad to the TV cable. Everything is fine.I was told that it could be the TC is just locked up. NOW if the TC was going would this next statement make sence? When im in DRIVE and stopped my car will make a rattle sound almost like that heat shield on the cat but...my cat is a month old so it is not the cat. When i drive the sound is gone. ONLY does it in drive while stopped. put it in Park netural reverse and it DOES NOT do it. Im confused. I need help ASAP! Please let me know what this could be! Thanks

if your TC was locked up and you came to a stop it is very possible that it could stall the car. that is a cmoon problem when it is locked.. The rattle could be a few things. When i was filling my tranny up after the install it rattled a little bit until i was getting close to full. Other rattles could be exaust realted (hitting something on the bottom of the car. checking clearnaces on the y-pip and cat and such would elimnate that). But yea. Just a few idea's i will come up with more when i am more awake

Cat back is fine.. But what about the y-pipe.. I know mine rattles pretty good when in drive at a light... there is littereally no clearnace for it from the stock a-arm they are actually touching (not sure why yet. but it will get fixed). If it hangs then most times it is the TV cable.. or perhaps the TV valve itself is on the way out.. it has happened before.

You could try that. A sugestion is switch it over to a manual.. less things you really have to deal with.. and no having to worry about a TV cable that is impossible to actually set exactly right without having a pressure gauge hooks up to it.

By what i understand, swapping from an auto to a manual, if you have everything you need to do it (there are plenty of places to find a parts list for both the t-5 swap and the t-56 swap.) it should only take your about 2 to 3 days at the most. Considering things I owuld say that is a pretty easy swap.

would a T-56 still link up with a 305 until i get a 350? the engine doesn't seem like its ganna die anytime soon (which i guess is a good thing) Right now just the Trans and rear need to be replaced.

now last night i got the car up to atleast 120 and had no violent jerk like it does around 50....whats the deal with that?

Hmm. Dunno.. never actually had such happen to me. Could be anything now i guess. If it is happening only at lowish speeds it could very well be the TV Valve not sending enough pressure to the transmission letting it know exactly what it needs to do.. As fa as a T-56 You could get it to hook up, but you would need the preassure plate from the donor or you if you have a 2pc rear main, buy one especially for use on the t-56 on a 2pc rear main car. Since if I remember correctly. all T-56 cars were 1 pc rear main.

not going for the T-56 im just want the 700R4 to work and it still gives me problems. If i start up after its sat all day and go it'll shift fine and not be a problem but as it warms up it'll give me a problem. This is really making me mad because i need this car to just run normal for once because everytime something is fixed, something else gives me a problem and i don't feel like bringing it to a trans place and telling me that the trans is shot when in reality it probably isn't.
Would a TV cable make do this problem as well : when im on the highway at like 65 and i go WOT it'll redline and sit there until i let off the gas then kick down to normal. could that also be the TV cable?
