You can practically rip a stock GM rubber transmission mount in half with your hands. GM mounts are junk. Go to any parts store and pick up a poly mount.

Did it myself. However, its cool to brake a tranny mount. It makes your engine look a lot cooler than what it is!
"I brake tranny mounts daily"
"My motor makes sooo much torque that I broke a diamond tranny mount"
i can just imagine saying that to anyone who is checking out my car.
It also like saying, "My TBI sucks" which is true by the way.
I love TBI (for the confused ones).

I wouldn't get TOO excited about breaking a tranny mount with a 305... I mean... I broke one on my old 2.8 V6 Firebird... I don't think those old mounts are very strong at all!

Axle/Gears: bunch of 10 bolts how scary is that
Little hard to brag about it when you floor it and it bounces off your tunnel wall. Broke my stock one the other day myself

The trans mounte on these things are about as weak as a yamaha sled motor...
Broke quite a few poly mounts with my 350/ TH-350 combo, Now i put a piece of chain through the mount and around the x-member beacuse i would like to keep my right arm. It works very well, keeps things from bashing around on the limp home.
