Knocking against floor after switching old broken tranny mount to new

ok heres my prob i replaced the tranny mount today... and have been getting a light knocking (im assuming i havn't been able to figure out exactly where) against the floor pan (while in drive and just idling) if i drive around a bit it seems to go away.... any guesses on what it could be,.... i checked all the bolts they're in there well. (i had ot use a 4ft pry bar to take the suckers out in the first place and just used my hand with a socket to put htem back in) so any guesses on what it could be?

Does it make the sound while at idle or when you apply throttle?

Are you shifting the car into drive or back into park when it makes this sound, or is it just happening on its own?

the situation...when in in drive just idling (foot on brake so it doesn't go anywhere) as soon as i shift into drive it starts to knock...as soon as i put it back into park it stops.... if i raise the idle (i tried this) it still knocks in drive but not as much but its still there.(but its idling high at around 1000rpm)

Exhaust near the x-mamber or anything? I thought for sure i had a rod bearing go but it was the damn pipes beating on the crossmember.

I have a similar situation with mine.. sounded like it might be a tranny mount or what not and looked up under and did some close looking and found the y-pipe on the passenger side was hitting the a-arm mount area.. exauset likes to make lots of noise when it is in drive, idleing, or when you press on the gas. sounds like the same problem you have

but it only happens when in gear just sitting there....as soon as i hit the gas its gone. and when i brake to stop only when stopped or very slow under 10km/hr it comes back.

You might want to check your motor mounts. Put the car in drive and hold the brake while lightly stepping on the gas to torque the engine. While youre doing that have a freind stand BESIDE the car and see if one side of the motor is lifting up away from the mounts. If you have a bad motor mount, when you engage the tranny it will sometimes move the motor enough to hit things like your exhaust or filler tubes and make a rattle. But when you get going the engine sets back down and clears everything. Just a thought.
