interchangable axles

I have a 9 bolt that recently went bad. Upon dissassembly I found that the axles were worn down. The 9 bolts came with 28 spline axles, as did the 90+ 10 bolts. I am wanting to know if the two sets of axles are interchangable?

No. And 9 bolt axles are 2 diff lengths; 10 bolt axles are identical side to side.

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86

You might as well ask if a Ford 9" 28 spline axle will fit.

10 bolt and 9 bolt diffs are completely different. Nothing internally is interchangable. The only replacement for a 9 bolt axle is from another 9 bolt.
