T56 pedal install / switch question

I'm all over getting the hole drilled and the pedals mounted.
What I'm trying to figure out is what's going on with the switches. I've been searching for hours and haven't found my answers or I'm really confused.

I got pedals from a 4th gen. They came with 2 switches. One on the brake and one on the clutch.
My only brake pedal has 2 switches.

What switches are what and what get wired to what. I know I need the neutral saftey switch, I'd like to keep my cruise control.

I believe that switch #1 is for the cruise so i guess I could move this to the 4th gen pedals. Where does it need to be mounted? should I remove sw #3 and put this there?

What is switch #2 for? would this go in place of SW#4 on the 4th gen pedals?

So if I had to guess I'd say I'm missing the clutch saftey switch. Would this go in hole #1?

Thanks for any help that you provide.

yup. A couple of weeks after I sold you the one I had, the wife knew I was bummed about not putting in a 6 speed and bought another one for me.

I used the thirdgen pedals too, and found it very easy. If you can just swap switches from the thirdgen brake pedal to the 4th gen pedal I'd just do that.

BTW, that's a good woman you've got yourself there!

On your old pedal, the switch with the vacuum port is for the cruise control, the other is for the stoplights. Hole #1 & the one to the left of it on the 4th gen pedals is for the 4th gen clutch saftey switch GM part# 14094368 & pigtail# 12102690. You can get them new from GM or scrouge in the salvage yards for them.

Car: Depends on what day it is..
Engine: Um, Chevy small-block
Transmission: One that shifts
Axle/Gears: Got those too...
Pigtail = the connector that goes into the aforemetioned switch with about 12" of wire extending out of the connector so you can splice into your wiring harness.

does anyone know how to wire the 4th gen stop light switch to the third gen wiring? The old third gen switch doesn't fit into the 4th gen switch mount. The third gen has 4 wires but the 4th gen only has 2.

The 3rd Gen switch will fit if you use the 4th Gen switch retainer, GM part# 10200424.
