How hard is it to install a vette servo?
I am asking because i recently purchessed a transgo shift kit.I saw in the instruction video it says that I would have to drop the pan to make sure the band isn't to tight, but when I asked a reputable transmission shop here in town they said it wouldn't be needed to do so,just slap the servo in,I asked them if they could install the transgo kit for me in place of the B&M kit I have in there now. They told me that a Transgo and a B&M are basically the same thing other than the vette servo.what do I need to do?
my second question is how many quarts of tranny fluid would I need to replace if I do drop the pan?

the biggest thing you have to check is to make sure the hieght of the servo pin remains the same between the vette servo and the stocker. - Measure before you take it out to switch it over.
- also, for the $ you really should go ahead and get a billet servo. The vette is ok for about 300hp, but past that you'll still need more.
- as for the differences between the kits, I'm pretty sure the transgo uses the proper springs instead of the crap as sleeves that simply shim the stock springs in the accumulators.
- If you haven't already bought it or can return it, the superior kit is much better. It actually re-springs the entire valve body, which instead of just making it shift firm, it makes it handle the power.

I do have the superior kit I guess,it came with everything.all the springs washers and valves,as far as the pin goes I bought a longer pin off ebay from oregon performance transmissions.I was told by a master tranny tech that I wouldn't need it, but I held on to it just in case.
