ok, my borg warner got all messed up, needed new input and output shaft. so istead i just got another tranny. i assumed it would be another V8 bcuz it was another borg warner( didnt know they made them for V6's). and im having trouble with the throw out bearing. my guy said there is 3 sizes, and i need the middle one. is this true? did BW make transmissio for V6 cars?

 

i assume you are talking about the t-5 non-world class and t-5 world class 5 speeds. yes, they made them for v-8 camaros, v-6 camaros, v-8 mustangs, v-6 mustangs, 2wd s-10s and 4wd s-10s.

 

V6 gearboxes have a 16 spline input shaft and it is a smaller diameter than the 26 spline V8 input shaft. The sleeve the throwout (release) bearing rides on should be the same diameter, I've never heard of using a different bearing for a v6 box. I know I've never used a different one...
