UMI 82-02 F-Body Bolt-In Control Arm Relocation Brackets? Anybody used these?

UMI 82-02 F-Body Bolt-In Control Arm Relocation Brackets? Anybody used these? If so how do you like them?

I am just curious if they improved the traction using street tires, not soft compound, or DOT slicks, or slicks for that matter, but regular ol' street tires. I am running a set of Kuhmo Ecsta 711's and will be a ways away from sticky tires for now. If I do purchase a set of these I will be setting them up with the full 3 inch drop, installing my boxed lca's with poly bushings, a UMI adjustable torque arm, and poly bushings on the tranny and tranny mount.

I am also concerned about the fact that they are bolt in's. Do they stay put or rattle or clunk or do any other noticable idiosyncrasies?

Bought the BMR ones several years ago...no rattles..solid mount...went to the lowest position as I have Eibach Pro springs..only change I made was to make up a thicker walled bushing at work..my preference as I like to overkill at times.....

Was the traction improvement very noticable?

With the LCA's(Hotchkis) in the lowest position; yes...no wheel hop since...but my suspension is tight
Hotchkis LCA
" Panhardrod
BMR relocating brackets
Eibach Pro springs
Comp. Eng..sub frame connectore
WS6 sway bars
Hotchkis strut tower brace
BMR "wunder bar"
Koni Yellow adjustable shocks
Edelbrock torque arm
Bought my car new in 1988 and over the years have done the above plus more but it was over a 18 year span....
The relocating brackets are worth it ...they are solid and the plus is there is no welding in case you ever want to remove..Hope my opinion helps....

I just ordered a set of the UMI's they were 95 bucks shipped.

I too have SFC, I boxed in a set of stock LCA's and want to get a set of poly bushings for them, I am also looking at getting the UMI adjustable torque arm, I have poly tranny mount and torque arm bushing, strut tower brace, Camaro wonderbar, and WS6 suspention.

So it should be a completely different ride when its all put together considering it was a stock TA with LG4 and F41 suspention.

Some day!!

What are you using for a torque arm?

I also have everything roughskinjrz mentioned

I might go with a BMR TQ-Arm though...
