No problems shifting shifter goes all the way forward into what the indicator says is park but it's still in gear can't get it up in to reverse either. Any ideas?

stock or aftermarket?
did you work on the car recently?
maybe the cable is bound, or damaged.
ive even seen a penny fall into the console and cause problems.
your questions is kinda vague. sorry.

 

mine did the same thing when i first bought it and it was a loose bolt in the shifter lincage mounted to the trans pan check it out

 

Sorry for being vague. I knew I should have put more information in there but I was not sure what was needed I took apart the center console and could not find anything wrong so I came inside looked for some help here.

I have not ever worked on the tranny I've owned the car for a 6 months it is completely stock.

I crawled under it and the linkage that bolts to the pan is just hanging there both bolts are gone.

I found some bolts put it back in place and it works fine thanks for the Help.
