did i get ripped off??? t5 real big problem

i got a 84 t5 with a 14 thooth that was supposed to go to a v8. is this a v6 trans? if so want can i do, anyway to make this work?

I had this problem too. Get a clutch kit from the auto parts shop. You'll need the throwout bearing and pressure plate, I had to go to a driveline/clutch shop with the trans and have them make a 14 spline clutch plate with the right diameter. The clutch kit cost me like 100 bucks and the custom clutch disc cost me like 70 bucks. Other than that as long as you have the V8 bellhousing it bolts right up
