One Tranny line

Engine: 305, lt4, lingenfelter ls2
Axle/Gears: 3.08, 3.73, 4.10
One Tranny line

My 85 z has a 700r4 but it only havs one tranny line running up to the radiator. Should it have another one? Its got this like rubber boot thing over were the obovious place for the other line. But i took it off the other day and its not for a tranny line. Help. Thanks

Yes it needs two lines to the radiator. Are you sure you're looking in the right place? If you it was missing a cooler line it would be bleeding all over the place and you wouldn't be going anywhere.

Yes im lookin in the right place. And its not leaking. I have never seen any thing like it

Are you talking about on the radiator, or on the transmission?

Can you take a picture? Both lines go to the passenger side tank, one at the top and one at the bottom. Someone could have installed a transmission cooler and bypassed the stock one, maybe.

Ill try and get a pic, but i dont think it has a tranny cooler

Does it leave enormous puddles of transmission fluid everywhere, and require re-filling it with about 5 quarts of red juice about every 10 minutes of driving?

Then it has 2 lines.

Believe it.

You just haven't found the other one yet. But it's right there waiting for you, somewhere.
