Dont mean to bug anyone, but i need to pick uop a tranny tomorrow.

This sounds legitimate, but I dont know anything about transmissions. Im guessing Sonnax is pretty decent because they mentioned it in rebuilding the 700r4 in Hot rod mag.
What about this 4l60 center support, 13 vane pump, and .600 boost valve
hes asking $799 - any suggestions??

those are common upgrades(the.600 boost valve might be a bit extreme) i've always just used the .500 boost valve.

thats wat im putting in mine, billet servos, .500 mega valve and boost low/reverse valve etc. they are supposidly very good products, and the 13 vein pump is a must for hp improvements. never heard of the 4l60 support tho... sounds like u got a good trans, and the .600 valve is very large since the .500 valve and low/reverse valve will increase stock pressure of 150psi to roughly 260-300psi.

Welll i ended up buying it. Yeah the guy said it will hold up to anything - not that i have anything extreme, but it good to know. 799 for a performance tranny with warranty is not bad.

As far the 4l60 center support - i asked the rebuilder about it. - its an internal part in the tranny, and it has radius edges on the part that the spline/shaft deal slides into. The difference is that the regualr 700r4 had a a hole with a bunch of teeth that everything slides into. After a while those teeth would grid up and wear. with the updated center support it has a reinforced radius around the outside which makes it stronger. I hope that made sense. Oh and its also called a "sun shell" if thats what u guys were thinking. google it it sounds like it makes a biggg difference.

Anyways the guy sounded very legimate, and everybody in town backed him up.

the sunshell and center support are two very different things. they used the same center support in all 700r4/4l60/4l60e up to current. i still would have went with a hardened sunshell. if it isn't hardened, it will give.

No it is hardened. It also has a metal radius around the edge where the teeth are instead of the stock 90 degree angle.
