i just checked with my thread pitch gauges and it is a 1.50mm thread pitch. i dont know the diameter of it.

Same as a pipe thread, and a 3/8" pipe thread sensor adaptor threads onto it, though the diameter of the shifter's threads actually measures 5/8". Go figure. 
But the stock **** fits it, whatever size that's considered. So as long as you get a **** that's supposed to fit our stock shifter, you're good.

Stock thread size for our ***** is 16mm x 1.50. The Pro 5.0 has that same thread size on their stick. That thread size really limits the choices when it comes to aftermarket *****, but MBA makes nice ones in that size. They've gone out of business, but Thunder Racing still has their ***** available. The Hurst/SLP leather ***** are really nice too if you prefer leather wrapped over billet aluminum.
Btw, you have to go to the 4th gen f-body section on Thunder's website to look at the MBA *****. Nothing comes up for shift ***** in their thirdgen section the last time I was on there.

my stock shifter **** does not fit infact its way to small...but im going to drill it out and re-thread it tomarrow to fit my pro 5.0 shifter handle
