700R4 Mega Valve install
well i just ordered a 700R4 Mega Valve to install when i change my tranny fluid and filter. i was wondering 1) this will firm up all of my shifts correct? 2) will part throttle shifts be hard too? and 3) where do i install this in or on the transmission exactly.

As far as I know the Mega Valve is the TV Boost Valve. It installs into the pressure regulator assembly on the front pump. It is behind a snap ring, adjacent to the filter inlet. You will have to remove the pan in order to get to it.

yea i just did the mega valve and the low reverse boost valve along with billet maximum oversized servos including the overdrive servo, it made a huge diff in the shift feel, i originally had corvette servo and transgo shift kit and i wasnt pleased, with the following upgrades this tranny is a monster, also added raptor blood green tranny fluid and new filter.
you have to lower the pan etc, there is a hole in the front pump and its over towards the driver side in the front of the trans(towards the front edge of where the pan is bolted to). u have to get the snap ring off in the cylinder, i had a tool for this but it didnt work out so well, this is the biggest pain in the butt and it took me about an hour to get it out with tongs and surgical supplies lol. when that ring comes out the cylinder should fall out be careful theres a spring so make sure it doesnt shoot out and make sure u remmeber how it comes out, replace the valve with the new one and put some tranny fluid on it etc, its the valve closest to the outside, put it back in and instal the snap ring and your done.
my shifts are really hard and i get crazy wheel spin with part throttle shifts in the 1-2 range. i couldnt tell u how much the valves made a diff but over the vette servo and stuff im guessing the valves made a big diff. u should like the results, also the valves increase RPM in the shifts slightly or thats what they say so u should feel like the tranns wants to keep in gear alil longer.
