rear end/ locker problem

whats up guys... i built my rear end about 4k ago and now i think its bugging out. 10 bolt posi, 4.10 gears, toms axel, detroit locker. whenever i take a turn slow or flip a b!tch i feel and hear grinding (sounds like a ratchet), but was told thats normal. is it? every now and then i feel this big pop and feel my right wheel kind of lock up. is this just my locker slipping? i opened it up but saw nothing, but when i jacked it up and spun the passenger tire backwards, it made some grinding sounds. you guys have any ideas?

Re: rear end/ locker problem

For the cost of some fluid pull the cover. It's the only way you will ever know for sure. - Anyhow, a locker in a 10-bolt is a bad idea.

Re: rear end/ locker problem

"most" lockers make noise during normal use, some are a lot louder than others. you need to find someone who has had experience with your particular locker and compare notes, or take it to a driveline shop and have it looked at if it's really stressing you out. my powertrax makes passengers ask me "what the hell as that noise?" all the time.

one question for you: how is it both?
