700R4/4L60 valve body gaskets from GM?

I have a 93 Vette and I need to find the valve body gaskets for the transmission valve body plate, upper and lower. This is a Non Electronic version. I am in Hawaii, and parts houses dont carry this item. I understand GM does, but I need a part number and a cost if anyone knows it. Thanks.

Forget GM.

http://www.bulkpart.com/Merchant2/me...ode=4L60-700R4

Less than $1 apiece....

I'd suggest getting the ATSG manual while you're buying stuff.

The GM# for a '92 700R4 VB gasket set is: 8689949

Was about $6 IIRC.

Thanks Gyuys for the part numbers. Being in Hawaii, it is probably cheaper just to go to the dealership. Shipping isnt cheap.
Just doing the valve body. And need to know where all the steel ***** go in the body, and not the case.

That'll tell you where the check ***** go, among other things. GM doesn't have those. Get the stuff from someone who does.

Don't worry about the shipping; it isn't THAT much, for a couple of pieces of paper.

This is whats in the FSM . Also, when I called Transgo , as that is the shift kit in there, they said it only needed two *****, and the copper one isnt needed. So, When I took the valve body down, there were only two ***** that came out that were on the valve body. They fell down, so I need to know where they go, and this is the only pic I have. I had a white towel underneath the car when I brought the body down.
The Aux valve body streel ***** are fine.

Just checked shipping here, its a minumum order of 14 dollars, so its going to be the dealership/stealership.

just to warn you they changed the gaskets in 93, I don't think those will work for you if they're for a 1992.

I got some 93 gaskets from a tranny shop. They are different and have a yellow stripe down the gasket for quick ID of them. When you put them over each other there are differences.

The 55A,B,& C are the only ones needed.

Kind of off topic. I just got done with the "modified Transgo kit" from Pro Built. From what I can tell, I was supposed to leave the 55A ball out? There were x's across that and the other that would have been in that oval gallery in the bottom right of the valve body picture.

I wasn't sure, so I left it out. Any quick info would be great. The tranny is going to start going back in the car after work.

You should have 6 ***** in an 87-92 trans total, this includes 2 in the lower VB and 4 in the upper; If you're talking about the check ball that's in the long "tub" by the auxillary valve body, you don't use it.

ED:if the kit says to lose 55A, lose it; I didn't see that the above diagram was lettered and couldn't find it in my book.
