Kinda wierd but I'm looking at my clutch pedal and it doens't sit inline with the other 2 pedals. I mean if you were to look at all 3 pedals from the side of the car (assuming you could see through the fender / door
) The clutch pedal is farther to the right, meaning you have to press the pedal in almost an inch before the pedal is inline. Is something outta wack?

they don't necessarily have to be in line, infact, i can't remember what my stock one looked like pedal wise. it's sticking out that far because of the master cylinder, so unless you really screwed up the master cylinder location it should be fine. i'll be doing the swap saturday, so i'll try and remember to check that and see if mine is higher or whatnot

I'm not sure about "to the right"; but the clutch pedal usually sits up a bit higher than the brake.

the right would be up and the left would be down
Thanks guys for the input. I'd be curious to find out how your swap ends up looking. I powered my car up for the first time in 3.5 years...project is complete. I should clarify powered up...I turned the key to test lights, guages, etc. I haven't set my distributor or timing yet. After I do I still have to get it to idle, program a chip and then worry about breaking in a new engine, transmission and 12 bolt rear end!!!!

my pedal is really higher too!! i'm sure the master cylinder is mounted correctly..but were there different master cylinders with different shaft lenghts? or was the master cylinder heim joint mount at different places on the pedal? i'm usung a new master cylinder/slave cylinder unit i bought from NAPA....the pedals are right, so it must be something with the hydraulics...has anyone modded their master cylinder? perhaps shortening the shaft? or making it adjustable? did this interfere with your release point?

the pedal should be higher by roughly 1", just checked mine
