Hi, I went to the Superior K015 3-4 full throttle upshift valve today on
my 700R4. I noticed that the machined slot where the retaining roll pin
sits was machined much deeper on the Superior valve than on the stock one.
Whereas the stock valve could not rotate at all, or slide in and out,
with the roll pin installed, the Superior valve can slide in and out slightly,
but it can also rotate very significantly (10 degrees). This seems like
excessive movement of the valve. Has anyone else who has installed the Superior 3-4 upshift valve noticed that it would rotate somewhat even with the roll pin installed? I can slide shim stock in the roll pin groove on the shift valve before sliding it in, but if it is normal movement I'm probably wasting my time.

You should be ok on this.

 

I have never seen one not rotate. They are sloppy, but work well. You should be fine.
