Speedometer

My speedometer started acting funny the other day. It reads about 20mph fast and bounces +/- 5mph. I can hear a grinding noise coming from the instrument cluster. I did several searches on here and only came up with speedos reading slower. Can anybody tell me what just broke?

Re: Speedometer

You have a cable-driven speedo head. The cable is broken, requires lubrication, or perhaps the speedo head itself has gone south.
