Can I use a T-5 out of a V-8 in my V-6 if I use a V-8 clutch plate or do I have to change the input shaft?????????

You'll have to change the input shaft.

Changing the input shaft would be one way to do it, another would be to get a disc the appropriate hub and diameter for your V6 plate.

If you want to skip a lot of disassembly and reassembly, the disc is the way to go, if you dont have the means to get your hands on one, PM me I can help you out.

I think the V8 shaft is shorter.

On some V6 T5's the very very end is slightly longer where it goes into the pilot bushing, some have had to grind a very small amount off when using a V6 T5 in a V8, sometimes its not required, at any rate, there will be more than enough of the pilot tip of the input shaft to engage the pilot bushing.

I did that, too. No problem with the pilot bushing/input shaft issue here...
