700R4 vacuum question
Im new to this game guys so dont bash me on this but I did a search couldnt find answers.Just got the car and it has a couple vacuum leaks and the tranny isnt shifting like it should, can the shifting bad be caused by the vacuum leaks or does it sound like computer issues or internal tranny prob. Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: 700R4 vacuum question
i don't believe that it would have much to do if anything at all. if your transmission isn't shifting correctly it usually is the TV (throttle valve) cable. www.700r4.com all the help your going to need making sure that transmission works correct.

Re: 700R4 vacuum question
I looked on that website and nothing was found about my problem. The problem im having is my converter keeps locking and unlocking on its own , and to get the car to upshift i have to take my foot off the gas ,if not it stays in same gear . Does this sound familiar to anyone on here ? If so any help is appreciated.

A simple how-to on adjusting your detent cable. Doesn't even take any tools, and is a good place to check.
