I was driving down a street and took a right turn and my car goes POP then it starts making a Kanking noise that Speeds up and slows down with the speed of my car. So I pull over take a look under and everything looks good.
So I turn my car on and start driving. Now it is making a noise like...when you were little and you put a card in your bike rims and make a noise...well, it made that noise in spurts of 3.
Well now, I have decided to limp the car home, so I am driving at 30 mph and I am thinking man... this is a ticking timebomb. Then it goes POP again...Noise is gone and everything is back to normal.
I have still babied it because I cant really trust it now. Anyone have an Idea of what may have happened? I am suposed to go to the track on Saturday for the first time and I dont want it to be my last for a while.
Anyone think it is fine now and all good?

id start off by checking everything around your wheels.
make sure the entire front end is tight.
calipers, sway bar end links, shock bolts. make sure the wheels are tight.
check your steering components.
if everything is tight in the front and rear.
wont be able to find out what happened until it happens again.
but if you check everything and you find something loose then you found your problem

Check the driveshaft and torque arm.
It only does it when taking a Hard Right hand turn.

Oh, the way you explained it, it sounded like the sound started when you made a turn and continued to make the sound there after, then stopped.
correct. I figured it out now though. What happened was when I rebuild the rear end 200 miles ago, a bolt came undone from the carrier and hit the gears.
The gears are fine still and look good, but the bolt was snapped in two and one half got stuck and was fine, while the other half was on the right side of the carrier.
So when I would take a right turn, the fluid and bolt would go to the left and hit the gears causing it to make noises when taking a hard right turn.
I am replacing the bolt right now and I should be on my way to the track at about 5:00 tonight.
Simple fix thank god, as I was eally upset about not being able to go to the track finally and seeing what it runs.

Update: It is making a knocking noise when going above 15 MPH and off the throttle. As soon as you hit the gas even to 1200rpm, the noise will disappear. The knocking speeds and slows down with the speed of the car.
What do you guys think? Anyone think it is my axle? Rear is fine and driveshaft isn't loose.

Bump. Need to fix soon!

I would take the diff cover off again and re-inspect everything in there.
It was making the noise before I took it apart. The Rear is good. I took a magnet to it and found all the pieces of the bolt. It has to be something else. I can guarentee the rear is fine.

loook at your spider gears and ring and pinion carfulley use solvent to wash them off I bet that bolt went though one and did some damage

Checked it all. Besides, I dont think that would make a knocking noise, that would cause more of a grinding noise.

Torque converter bolts...?
I dont think so because it all started when the bolt backed out. I will check though. The noise stops when on the throttle so... the noise stops when under any pressure.
