Car: 1992 Camaro RS
Engine: 355
Transmission: th400
Axle/Gears: 3.89
Need Speedometer Help!!!
I had 2.73 rears and I changed to 3.73 rears and obviously I have to change the gears in the trans. I called my dealer and he had said that I needed a new sensor to go along with the new gears (15 and 44). He said that because of changing gears this new sensor was needed. He had said that there were two types of sensors used. This part lists for $70 and I would like to know if I really need it or not.

Well, in a 92, you'll have an elect speedo. I never heard of anyone needing a new sensor (VSS i assume).
