Engine: 5.7 ltr 350 stock
Transmission: 700r4
Do I need a new governor??
My car won't shift from first until I hit about 4200rpm. When I'm driving in town, shouldn't it shift sooner. Does this sound like a bad governor gear? If so, where is a good place to purchase one? Thank you.

It is and has been adjusted. When I bought the car a couple of months ago, it shifted fine. It has gradually gotten this way.
