where is the VSS
where is the VSS
I know what the VSS is but I don't know where it is located. I also don't know what gears have to be changed (driven gear, Speedo gear) nor where they are located. I think they might be in the tail shaft of the tranny but I'm not sure. Has anyone went from 2.73's to 3.73's and had this same problem? If so what was done to fix it? I've heard alot of different things but I'm not sure what to do. I what to eliminate the VSS and still have the speedometer reading as close as possible.

Read the responses to your previous question. NMany of the questions you are asking is a repetion of your previous question and they have been virtually all answered.
As for HOW to get at the gear, I suggest purchasing a shop manual. It is worth its wait in gold and will show how to disassmble and reassemble far better (and with pictures often).
As for the gears needed, I stated the Driven and drive gears that you needed in your previous question. Go to any GM dealer and specify what I answered in your previous thread. They will know which gears to get.
