i was wondering my friends posi unit was getting worn and not working the way he wanted it to so he said that he put some more clutches in the rear end and now it acts like a locker.. its actually pretty cool it locks going round corners and makes teh clicking noise just like a locker would well please let me know thanks

If it's a posi, it could never be a 'locker' unless you shimmed the clutches too tight... Which would defeat the purpose of the limited slip and seriously decrease the life of the unit (unless he never turns)
The clicking is prolly the rear trying to blow.
Some rebuildable (Not auburn) could be shimmed with some clearence or 0.000 clearence but not much tighter than that. You will recieve much improved lockup at the expense of the rear acting as soggy as a $2 ***** very few miles down the road.
Clicking is NOT normal in a clutch type diff unless he forgot the special limited slip additive.
The clicking is prolly the rear trying to blow.
Some rebuildable (Not auburn) could be shimmed with some clearence or 0.000 clearence but not much tighter than that. You will recieve much improved lockup at the expense of the rear acting as soggy as a $2 ***** very few miles down the road.
