ok what trans does the 95 vette have , is it a ZF 6 speed or a T-56 6 speed ?i know the car is a c4 vette any info would be great... thanks

Nope. The rear tranny mount attaches from the sides and not the bottom.

95 C4 corvettes all had ZF-6's

the vette didn't get the T-56 until the 1997 C5 version appeared

 

This is correct. C4 Corvettes used ZF6's from 89 to 96. In 1997+ the C5 uses the T56.

i know it is supposed to be more work than a t-56 to install but can a zf6 be put in a 3rdgen? didnt the z03 show cars have them they were supposed to be the heritage edition 91/92?? what modifications need to be done? only reason i am asking is because i am getting one of these trans dirt cheap.

Yes you can put a ZF6 transmission into a thirdgen. Please search this board, its been discussed before.
