Will '88-'92 rear brakes bolt up to a 4th gen rear?

I am in desperate need of a new rear end (My gears are starting to make some serious noise). Since I was also wanting to put some 4th gen wheels on the car sometime very soon, I figured I could go ahead and get a 4th gen rear so I won't have to use spacers for the back wheels. Now my question is this: Will my rear brakes (discs with aluminum calipers) bolt up to the 4th gen rear end or will I need to use the 4th gen brakes? And if I need to use the 4th gen brakes, will my brake lines fit the new calipers? What about the parking brake cables? Thanks in advance for any help.

Axle/Gears: 3.70 9 bolt.
The 4th gen rears have the good PBR aluminum rear disks on them already.

Are they the exact same as the '88-'92 rear discs? Same calipers, brake lines, bearings? Except of course that they have ABS and maybe traction control. Will the 4th gen brakes work without any pboblems on a 3rd gen? Will the 3rd gen rear discs w/ PBR calipers bolt up to the 4th gen rear? (in case I get the 4th gen rear w/out brakes can I bolt up my existing brakes) Thanks

The 10 bolt variety (like your '91 has - which coincidentally is the 90-92 version... '88 is old GM junk, '89 is the PBR's for 9-bolt rear - different brackets but same calipers) is pretty much the same as a 4th gen - which are also still 10 bolt rears. Just avoid a rear with the ABS/traction control garbage.
Being as how the 4th gen rears are wider, you may just want to use the brake lines from that to eliminate any difficulties of a brake line being an inch or so short... not sure, never tried that!!!
It'd probably be easier to sell your rear you have as is with the brakes on it still rather than moving your stuff over, etc.

OK thanks. The only reason I wanted the 4th gen rear is so I can use the 4th gen offset wheels without spacers. I probably will end up just buying th whole rear including brakes off of a 4th gen. For some reason I thought the PBR aluminum calipers and larger rotors were on '88-'92 but I guess not. I learned something new. Also, didn't all 4th gens have ABS?

Ok I have the opportunity to buy a 4th gen rear w/out the brakes. Can I bolt on my existing brakes and just use the 4th gen brake lines? Will everything fit right and function properly? Thanks
