Something to HELP control Slippage in Auto 700R4

Don't laugh.
I need to add Bananas or Sawdust to control slippage.
It's the 2-3 shift. When colder, it's good. When warmer, not so good, if at all!
I need to pass smog. MAYBE, as is, the tranny will make it.
MAYBE NOT.
What can I add?
I wish I never changed the fluid.
Oh, it is going for a rebuild, so I am not concerned with hurting tranny.
As said on Star Trek, "It's Dead, Jim".

How about Type F fluid?
I am "full" on tranny fluid (due to fresh fluid job) so I am NOT removing any fluid. Just need some over the counter stuff to do the job.
What is it & what store carries it?
Especially in So Cal/L.A. (Go Lakers!) area.
THANKS!

For a quick short time fix to get it to pass smog, drain 2-3 quarts and replace with 40-50 weight motor oil. Have saved a transmission a few times this way. It should give you a few more days till you decide what you want to do. Make sure you reset the TV cable to what transfixleos recommendations are, he has posted several times recently on this.
Hope This Helps!!!

I've now got to figure out, how to drain tranny fluid from the top of the engine.
Because, I am not draining it from below!
These trannys are the biggest pian in the butt for working on them.
My S-10 tranny has alot more room to work with.

Disconnect the feed line (bottom line at the transmission) at the radiator and use a plastic gallon jug to catch the fluid, when it is 3/4 full stop, reconnect trans line and add 3 quarts of 40-50 weight motor oil. Drive for a couple of miles, it should mixed by then and see if this has helped solve your problem temporarily.

YOU ARE SUCH A GENIUS!!!
Thank you!!
That is about the least messy way to do this!
Gotta try this.
Do you recommend straight 40 or straight 50 OR 20-50 weight?
THANKS
Only wish I could bring the vehicle out that far.

Straight weight if you can find it. If you use 20-50W, then change 4 quarts instead of 3.
Hope This Helps!!!

Trying to find straight 50 is very close to impossible anymore.
Atleast I can find straight 40 weight!
I really appreciate the tip on emptying the tranny that way.
LOVE IT

I PASSED SMOG, with the tranny, as is. He kept it in second for the testing.
I passed with flying colors!!
So peaked!
Now for the tranny rebuild!
