How many daily drivers with a POSI here?

I got a POSI to install but don't know if I really want to.

Cept on a take off 1 wheel peel is nice, I sort of don't look forward to going sideways in the rian and stuff when it shifts hard. [built tranny, shift kits, kicks like a mule.] I also drive in snow when its not to deep, its also nice that I can go sort of nuts and the 1 wheel spin doesn't make the rear go all over. I stay straight, just spin.

How big of a learning curve is it to be able to drive pretty much the same but not have the rear end kick out or try to walk around in front all the time???

I sort of like being able to go all out and not lose control with the 1 wheel peel.

Don't be a wimp. I daily drive mine with posi. Not really too much difference. Just be smart about it...

My daily driver has a locker in it. If I can drive every day with a locker then you can easily drive every day with a posi. I've had several posi rear ends and it's no problem to drive them in any weather. The one wheel burnouts that you are doing right now are destroying the differential in your rear end.

I have had a LIMITED SLIP (RPO G80) since I bought the car new and it is nothing out of the ordinary driving with it. I had one with a 10-bolt and now with a 9-bolt and there is nothing different between them. But the 9-bolt one will step out on me if I gas it in a turn, and I think that is the difference between the 305 TPI & 350TPI..

Re: How many daily drivers with a POSI here?

I've had both pegleg and posi in mine, posi was a big
improvement-better traction in snow and on ice
(back when i used car year round),better launches
of course.car will haze both tires going perfectly
straight if car is straight when gas is hammered.
Also posi helps with manuvering in close quarters
as you can just tap the gas to swing the back end
around

I drive mine daily, you really don't notice it unless you really get on the gas

All I gotta say is that now that I daily drive an s-10 with an open diff I want my z28 with posi again, the added traction was always nice to have in rain and snow.
