I've got a 1986 camaro with a 2.8 litre v6, and what I assume is a borg warner t5 5 speed. Lately the clutch has become noisy (I think it is the release bearing), and at the same time it is difficult to shift into 2nd gear(impossible to downshift into 2nd) Now that I've got my tranny out to work on the clutch, should I open it up for a look,and if so what do I need to know to get it apart? Or will replacing the release bearing solve all my problems? Please help soon, my car is all over the garage floor.
