Speedometer

I have an 89 firebird. It used to have a 2.8 in it but I blew it so I put a 350 in it out of an older camaro, I also bought a 86 firebird that had a 305 in it and used all the accesories (alternator water pump etc..) from it with the serpentine system. I pulled the computer from the 86, but most the stuff in the car doesn't run from the computer now anyway. I pulled the 700r4 from the 86 also. I have finally managed to get it all working, short of needing an exhaust from the Y-pipe back (which I plan on getting next month) except for one vital part.

The Speedometer. I can't get it to work, I don't know where to start. I have no idea what to do to get it working, there are only wires running from the tranny to the computer, no speedo cables.

Is there anything I can do to get the speedo working??

Thanks

Jeremy Malloy

What happened to the speedo wires that were in the 2.8 tranny? If it was a 700R4 too it should plug right in. You'll also need the correct speedo gears for your rear end.
