eh heh heh heh

ok well the other day i ordered a corvette servo out of impulse...i got the normal tranny the 700rh or whatever the hell its called, just one minor question i neglected to look into. what is a servo.

oh yeah and how do i put it on, isit a pain in the lower intestine? and last but definitely not least, what kind of changes should i be expecting? yes i know, and what could go wrong if the first paragraph does actually prove my inteligence pertaining to the installation of the servo.
(i only really have a vague concept of where the servo is, just not exact and i dont know what it really does) thanks for the help guys, i think from now on im going to know what im really buying before i buy it....=)

The Servo goes under the round cover on the front, drivers side of the tranny. There is a different Servo (4th gear) inside the cover.

What the 'Vette Servo is, is the largest of the three factory Servo's. It provides more holding power in 2nd at any given pressure due to increased area. It will also provide for a firmer 2-3 shift since theis Servo, which must be off in 3rd, will release slower, creating more bindup in the shift and thus 'feels' firmer. this is not always a good thing but people seem to like it.

Actually it's on the passengers side, to avoid some confusion.

Actually I was THINKING passenger side but my fingers had another idea! Sorry 'bout that!

Oh, by the way, the 'Vette Servo has NO affect on 4th whatsoever as it is the 2nd gear Servo.
