Clutch help/ideas needed
Ok...I got my whole hydraulic line outa my z28...and the line from the master cylinder to the slave has this bulge where it looks like either the line popped there or it got super hot or something.
I called ALL around to different auto parts asking if they had the line between the two cylinders and they have nothing. Even if I buy a kit for them, nothing comes with the kit. I don't even know how to disconnect the line!!!
I think the master and slave are still okay.
Here are some pics...tell me what you guys think. I kinda don't know what to do.

they are secured together with small roll pins . you need to remove them , ( be gentle ) . wish i knew where you could get new lines , looks like the one in question is aftermarket . good luck .

What size is the id of the tubing??? Reason I ask, there are some of the dirt track supply companies that sell plastic brake line tubing that looks similar..... Maybe it would work???? Might try giving one of the Tech's at Speedway Motors a call, they sell the plastic brake line kits, maybe they can help you out????

This thread might help. I recommend replacing the entire assembly, but it's a little pricey.

Ok..so today I tried reusing the plastic hydraulic line and tried hooking a coupler up to both the ends after I cut it. I tried warming up the line to fit the hose over the brass coupler thing...
Sadly...it didn't work. It melted the line sorta and made it really weak. Ugh!!! I need help with this!

Ok...seems to be a lack of participation in this forum. Whatever.
Anyways, I called my gangsta friend and asked him about my ordeal with the clutch. Naturally he had an idea and hooked me UP like Hoosier slicks on the strip!
Basically the line is just that vinyl stuff. He had some evap line that had the same inner diameter. It looked alright and so we rolled with it. We had to cut off the old line. Then we heated up the barbed pieces from the master and slave cylinder and slid on the vinyl line RIGHT ON! Then it cooled down and the line stuck on it REAL good
Anyways, I got the master and slave back on and bled the system. Now the hydraulic works FLAWLESS. And to prevent the line from getting too hot again, I tucked away the vinyl line behind the brake lines.
Here's a pic of the master and slave.
