Chirping noise???

I put a T5 in my camaro conversion. I can hear a chirping noise unless I step on the clutch a bit and then it goes away it does it when i am driving. I am wondering is that the pilot bushing or the throw out bearing? Being new? Its faint noise and chirps a bit then when i barely hold on the clutch like just put my foot on it. It goes away? any suggestions?

Re: Chirping noise???

My guess would be throwout bearing, if it goes away when you step on the clutch. The or the fork may be vibrating and you are hearing that. Pilot bushing is on constant contact with the input shaft, sometimes spinning faster or the same speed, but always in contact.

Re: Chirping noise???

The only thing thats used it the fork. And that seems obvious if you apply little pressure not to disengage just to where the cylinder holds the fork a bit probably just chirping on the throw out bearing by vibration.

Re: Chirping noise???

any takers on this thing i have? I don't see it much of a problem it drives and clutch is fully functional. Even did a test to make sure the clutch engages by putting it in 3rd gear and letting off to see the car stalls. and it does rather quickly.

Re: Chirping noise???

2009 darn im too late I was gonna scream pull it out and put it back together. What I thought was my clutch making noise it ended up being
my throw out bearing and due to lack of money and able to line up my mechanic it exploded cracked the front and back case ultimately destroying the whole thing. Who ever reads this if you have tranny noise no mattet how minor get it addressed asap especially if it's a t5
