i just installed a B&M shift kit in my 87 700r4 tranny and after getting it all together i dont have reverse it just slips but the thing is reverse worked fine b4 i put the shift kit in it, but it changes thru 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th fine. its full of ATF and the TV cable is fine. what would make it do that? plz no stupid answers

Yup. I went to Kragens and when I was getting ready to leave, I shifted to reverse and nothing. I gave it gas to see if it would engage and nothing. i had to open the door and push back. Then it satrted to work agian but then it went back to the same junk. Then it worked, then it didnt. Now it just doesnt work. No reverse what so ever. 1,2,3,4 (OD) works just dandy.

 

idk wut it is tho. ima check the pressure value i was told that maybe it had something to do with it since i had to take it out and replace the spring maybe i didnt put it in right

 

Pressure valve? where is that located at?

 

its on the front of the tranny (driver side) it has a snap ring holding the valve in place and its spring loaded

 

Where is it at on this bad boy.

 

look beside the gear slector (left side from pic) there should be a hole to the top left area and in that hole is a valve it should have a blk snap ring. it goes into the pump but u dont have to pull the pump out. i cerciled the gerneral area it is in
