detroit locker

I have a moser 9" with 31 spline axles, 3.70 gears, detroit locker and 12mm studs. Car is 3400lbs going down the track, has hoosier QTP's and TH350 with 4500 stall. I had a 406 that made 530hp and am currently buidling a 434 that should be making in the 675hp range + or - 25hp.

Will I have problems with the differential at the power level and the way my car is setup?

Thanks for any help.

Re: detroit locker

You are getting close to the point where you need to go to larger axles. The Locker is good.

Re: detroit locker

Moser guarantees their 33 spline and up axles, but not 31 spline and down.

Re: detroit locker

I called moser and they told me the 12mm studs were the least of my worries. Tech isn't worried about the locker either but is not sure how the 31 spline axles will hold up.

The thing I am worried about is the locker breaking and having the car make a hard turn into the wall. Maybe I am worrying too much?

Re: detroit locker

locker is a strong unit only thing stronger is a spool and cant run that after the motor is built take a couple runs and pull axle to see if its twisting at all then you'll know if you need to upgrade that's why i bought 35 first so i wouldn't have to upgrade at a later time
