moser 9" hitting the body?

Ive got a moser 9" installed in my 84 t/a and there is a bolt on top that connects the panhard(?) bar to the trans, well when i go over a bump the bolt hits the body of the car, ive got eibach 1" lowering springs, would switching to a gta spring in the back help out this problem? i only have gta springs handy, no stock 84 springs, are gta springs lower than standard 84 t/a springs? stiffer? what other options do i have other than cutting a hole in my body where the bolt hits...and i dont really want to do that.

How are your shocks ? The rear end should be hitting the bump stops before anything else.

thats normal with the moser 9 and lowered cars, it will "clearance" itself. I have a hole in the floor above and to the left of the tunnel from the bolt.

however, check to see if the rear is centered, it may be off to the driveside more and making it worse.

I have an adjustable torque arm? the bar that goes from left to right in the back, how do you adjust it? it might not be centered all the way, would it be easiest to do jacked up off the ground?

You'll need an adjustable aftermarket panhard bar. The factory piece is a flimsy stamped rubber abomination...I still own two.

120ish from spohn or umi.

Yup, measure the distance from the wheels to the fender and then jack her up.

i just banged the body up with a hammer just enough to clear the bolts no biggie and you'll never know or see where you banged it up
