700r4 not working
700r4 not working
ok so i just swapped a L03 305 into my car, with a 700r4, motor runs great but when i put it in gear it doesnt move, the tranny has plenty of fluid. i talked to some guys and some said that the torque converter isnt seated all the way in, but others told me that there is no way i could have mated the motor and tranny if it wasnt seated all the way, also people asked me if i have my TC bolted to the Flexplate, yes they are bolted together, and yes the linkage for the shifter is installed right.
anyone have any idea why my car wont move?
i can give it gas with no brakes in any gear and it wont do anything

Do you know the history of this transmission? Was it bought with your L03 swap?
Re: 700r4 not working
car started out as a V6 car, bought a parts car and pulled out the motor and tranny, and now i just took that motor out and put in the L03, tranny has 129,xxx miles on it

Re: 700r4 not working
A simple dumb question
Driveshaft is in right?
If everything checks out maybe it's time to do seenif the pump is working. A simple first check you can do is disconnect the lower cooler line from the trans and briefly start it and make sure it's pumping fluid out
