So I just got a new tranny in and I've been really worried about the tv cable and making sure that it is adjusted correctly. I got the car put back together and I've driven it around the block a few times.... I might just be paranoid but I feel like something isn't right with the tv cable. I still don't think I understand how to adjust it. Here are my concerns:
1. I bought the tv cable from O'Riely Auto... I know... Stupid, but it was the only way I could get one without having to order one... I don't even know if it's the right cable. The old fart behind the counter insisted that it was called a detent cable and wouldn't listen to my explanation that a kick-down cable is totally different... Anyway it looks like a tv cable so I got my fingers crossed.
2. I really don't understand the adjustment process. I've done the whole process a thousand times... I don't hear the ratcheting and I never notice anything happening when I adjust it... I'm so confused
